Ready for a walk through Upper Town ?
Walking the streets of Città Alta is one of the most beautiful things about Bergamo! You can start from “Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe” and walk up to the Rocca: a fortress with a beautiful park around it (the view is incredible).
From there you can go to Piazza Vecchia, the main square of Città Alta, Piazza Duomo with some amazing monuments, and then to Colle Aperto! If you want, you can also take our second funicular to get to San Vigilio, a beautiful hill with a spectacular view!
Are you an art and history enthusiast? We have lot of things here!
Few “must do” : Cattedrale di Sant’Alessandro, Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore (5€ ticket but it is worth it), and Cappella Colleoni. They are all very close together so it will be super convenient to see all 3! Looking for a nice view? Climb to the top of the Campanone (5€ ticket with elevator and/or stairs).
