I am actually a “tour leader” so if you are looking for an ordinary tourist guide in Bergamo, well that’s not me.
Buut, if you’ve come this far it means you want to know more about me so here’s some information!
Besides the more boring stuff (my name is Matteo, I’m 33 and I was born and raised in Bergamo) I want to tell you what I like and how I created Walking Cap!
In fact, there are several things I love to do:
I discovered the existence of Free Walking Tour in 2015 on a trip to Portugal and since then every visit abroad for me is an opportunity to take one!
A few years ago some Australian friends, whom I met just through a free walking tour, came to visit me in Bergamo and it was the first time I acted as a “storyteller” for friends!
So, also thinking about my passions, I started studying, got my tour leader license, and now here I am!
Tour leader license is quite different from the standard “tour guide license” so we won’t be able to get too much into history in my tours but don’t worry: I’ll give you the generic info and, if you are willing to learn more, I’m going to give you contacts with the best tour guide in Bergamo!
My main job is something else (if you need consulting in marketing and communication I am at your disposal 😬) but I love to meet other travelers and share with them something of my beloved Bergamo!
